KGH has a dedicated clinical research department and collaboratively recruits for 2 Tertiary Hospitals that provide diagnostic and complex care, allowing for recruitment in rural and remote areas resulting in decentralized clinical trials. Via the Interior Health Research Department, this site collaborates with UBC- Okanagan, Thompson Rivers University (TRU), the University of Northern BC (UNBC), and other regional colleges.
