In preparation for the Third ACT Consortium Meeting, we are seeking Canadian biotechnology companies to connect with ACT Canada Researchers. Companies will have the opportunity to pitch their company to a variety of ACT members through presentations and/or exhibit tables in our conference rooms at our October meeting in Quebec City.
ACT Researchers are focused on conducting high-quality clinical trials with Canadians across the country, in a wide range of research areas. For information on some of these key areas of interest, see our Networks page.
The upcoming consortium meeting (October 9-10, 2024 in Quebec City) will focus on the following areas:
- Exploring strategies to foster a vibrant Canadian biotechnology ecosystem
- Updates on new ACT-funded clinical trial networks
- Announcements of the single national REB winners
- Updates on the work of our ACT committees
- Discussions about regulatory processes in Canada
This networking opportunity is intended to help facilitate applications for a funding opportunity that will be announced in Fall 2024. Some key eligibility criteria for the funding opportunity include:
- The proposal is an RCT and not a product validation observational study
- The trial must evaluate a biotechnology
- The biotechnology company partner must be Canadian-controlled
- The nominated principal investigator must be a Canadian researcher who is a member of an ACT Network
